Family Triglidae
Description
The Triglidae are a family of Scorpaeniform fishes known as searobins. There are currently 9 genera and 125 recognized brackish and marine species. The number or resident species in North Carolina is hard to quantify due to the fact that they are marine animals that don’t recognize state borders. We will list the species present as we encounter them.
